In 2007 Rebecca took up the year long artist residency working with Orkney farmers. The Art & Agriculture Residency run by the Pier Arts Centre was the reason Rebecca and Mark moved to Orkney. The project resulted in several exhibitions, two publications and numerous events. The residency was designed to engage one of the largest communities in Orkney (the farming community) in the production of art and engagement with art during the substantial redevelopment of the Pier Arts Centre building. Rebecca was based at the Orkney Auction Mart in Kirkwall.
The project has had a profound effect on Rebecca’s work and after the year was over, Rebecca and Mark settled in Orkney.
