Fishernet was a three year project bringing together people and organisations with an interest in fishing cultural heritage. It was developed with the support of the European Commission Culture Programme with partners from Iceland, Norway, Scotland, Spain, Iceland, Cyprus and Bulgaria. Mark became involved in 2011 as a film programmer for Fishernet as part of Nordkapp Film Festival, Norway, and continued to programme for Fishernet for six years.
In 2015, for West Side Cinema, he programmed and managed Fishernet Orkney, a three day event exploring coastal heritage and culture, with feature length and short films supported by talks, tours and an exhibition.
